The Book Prophets features the name Yahweh in stylized modern Hebrew script.  My site favicon portrays the name in Paleo-Hebrew: well, here it is too:

Yahweh is the proper name of the god of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jesus, Paul, and all biblically based Jewish and Christian groups past, present and future (Exodus 3:15; 6:3). The name Yahweh appears about 7,000 times in the Hebrew Bible. However, most English translations render the name of our Father in heaven as “the LORD” or “GOD” (note all capital letters).

Exodus 20:7. “You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your elohim, for Yahweh will not leave unpunished anyone who misuses his name.
(Third Commandment, New Jerusalem Bible)

Intentionally mistranslating or covering up the name Yahweh in Bible translations, literature and worship may be considered by the Eternal Judge to be a misuse and therefore a sin, be it of ignorance or intention.  Every Bible translator and translation committee and most pastors and teachers of religious subjects know this name but refuse to share their knowledge – and the blessing of the Name – with their students / parishioners.

Jack Snyder Street Preaching 1986 at the Church DoorJeremiah 2:8. “The priests never asked, ‘Where is Yahweh?’  Those skilled in the Law did not know me, the shepherds too rebelled against me and the prophets prophesied by Baal and followed the Useless Ones.”

It is our aim to make the Father’s name known for reasons easily found in the Scripture by any of his children.  Generate a Bible search for the phrase “my name” and learn the importance of the proper name “Yahweh.”

Therefore, in deference to our Heavenly Father Yahweh, we use his name frequently.

Note the name Yahweh in Paleo-Hebrew in common use on this Temple Receipt, 8th Century B.C.

"God" as a name is to be shunned, according to Isaiah 65:11 (Hebrew) - it is the name of an Assyrian deity and is translated "luck."

Young's Literal
Isaiah 65:11 And ye [are] those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture...

Gad is pronounced gahd or god and Meni is pronounced muh-nee.

New Jerusalem Bible (Roman Catholic)
Isaiah 65:11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table for Gad, who fill cups of mixed wine for Meni...

Revised Standard translates these names
Isaiah 65:11 But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny...

King James Version
Isaiah 65:11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.  (???)

Pete Snyder says,
Look here - my Bible says "God and Money!"

INDEED!

A name changes not, no matter what language we use.  If he says his name is Yahweh, and he does 8,000 times in Scripture, and if he said we should call him by name, then why do we cry out to the Assyrian deity of Good Luck that the Israelites brought with them into captivity and eventually to western Europe?

I praise Yahweh Elohim, our Father and Supplier, and do not trust in luck or money for my eventual salvation.  I hope you feel the same.
